Art in Room 10

When Room 10 did our self-portraits we had an A4 piece of paper. First we had to fold the piece of paper in half, then into quarters. We started doing the head, followed by the mouth. Next we added the nose. We put little dots for the eyes and we then drew the neck. After we had finished we did the ears and the hair. We drew our name in bubble letters. We had to pick two colours for our name. Next we picked one colour for the background and coloured it in. Finally Mr Barnett put cooking oil on top of the paper to make it see-through like a stained glass window.

Tee ball

A few days ago we played tee ball . I got to demo. I have played tee ball for 3 years. We were split into groups and we had turns at hitting the ball. We hit towards the field to the players, and then we would swap over. At the end Jimi hit the ball about as far as Mr Barnett.

Puss in boots detective

On Wednesday Week five we had a Puss in boots show by one man and two ladies. It was very cool. One lady was dressed up as Puss in boots, and the other was dressed up as Gretel from Hansel and Gretel. She was also dressed up as Goldilocks. The man was dressed up as Hansel, Justin baby bears father, and Justin baby bear. The play was awesome!

Moving to the hall

At the end of Week 6 Room 10 moved to the hall and have been there for 2 weeks now and can't wait to go back to Room 10. We hope we will move back some time this week. The reason we had to move is because our classroom is getting a new wall.

KITTENS!!!!!!!!

Harlan brought in some kittens to our class. One was grey, and two where black and grey. They were so cute. He said that his cat runs away from them. One table hogged one kitten. The kittens  were so funny and they jumped off the table. Drew is allergic to kittens and he touched one but Harlan's mum Nicola yelled, ''GO WASH YOUR HANDS DREW''. It was so fun thanks Nicola and Harlan for bringing in the kittens!

Persuasive writing

In Room Ten we have been using persuasive writing. We have written a persuasive letter to Mr Smith. It was about persuading him not to move Room Ten to the hall. In persuasive writing we have to write an introduction, at least 3 or more paragraphs about our view, and a conclusion. We have to use emotive language. By using emotive language it keeps the reader interested and tries to influence their feelings on the topic.
